Digital Radiology/Ultrasound
Radiographs are another diagnostic tool we use here at CVC. A radiograph (sometimes called an x-ray) is a type of photograph that can reveal information about the inside of the body. Crocker Veterinary Care has both Ultrasound capabilities as well as Digital Radiology. This allows our veterinarians at CVC to visualize abnormalities within your pets body that are not apparent with a physical examination. For example, tumors, foreign bodies, and leg fractures may require further imaging.
Radiographs and ultrasounds are painless, safe and non-invasive and uses a small amount of radiation. The levels are low enough that pregnant and very young animals may be radiographed without harm. Once the imaging has been performed we will discuss any findings with you while allowing you to see them.
