Dr. Sydney Sloan
Originally from Paris, Texas, Dr. Sydney Sloan discovered her passion for animal agriculture through her involvement in FFA. Although she was not raised in agriculture, her experiences growing up sparked a lasting interest in working with animals and ultimately led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Sloan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Tarleton State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include surgery, dermatology, and endocrinology. She places a strong emphasis on client education, believing that helping owners understand their animals’ conditions is an essential part of providing the best possible care.
Dr. Sloan especially enjoys mixed-animal practice because no two days are alike. Working with different species continually presents new challenges and opportunities to learn, making every day rewarding and unique.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sloan enjoys spending time with her husband, Zane, and their two dogs, Shiner and Boone, and their cat, Oliver. She also enjoys attending Texas Tech and K-State sporting events, traveling, cooking with Zane, and crafting.
